EOLICA ARGENTINA AND SOLAR ARGENTINA 2012 DEBUT AT THE BUENOS AIRES FAIR CENTRE

The international event dedicated to wind energy in Argentina takes place from 3 to 5 July concurrently with the fair for the photovoltaic, thermal and concentrated solar energy, with which it will create strong synergies.
Buenos Aires, Tuesday, July 3, 2012 - At its opening edition, Eolica Argentina 2012 will address the challenges faced by industry players thanks to the participation of leading experts and professionals from the renewable energy sector.
Speakers confirmed for the inaugural session on Tuesday, July 3 at 9:00 am are Marco Pinetti (Artenergy Publishing), Thomas Hogan (Centrales de La Costa Atlántica), Exequiel Omar Espinosa (ENARSA), Erico Spinadel (AAEE - Argentinean Wind Energy Association) and Raul Martinez (Archdiocese - City of Buenos Aires).
The first day will be devoted to plenary talks by specialists on a range of issues: safeguarding health and the environment; the progam for alternative energy use at Antarctic bases; instruments for promoting investment; wind energy as a launch pad for national industrial development; the state of the wind industry in the region and in Argentina in particular; prospects for the sector from the point of view of a developer; and a panel devoted to educational provision for the use of renewable energies.
Over the following two days the conference will be divided into panels, each of which will address a topic from different perspectives including case presentations, experiences and development programs nationally and internationally.
The topics scheduled for debate on July 4 are wind turbine technology, systems and components; finance models; control systems; legal frameworks and programs; integration and optimization of renewable energy systems; and developments in industry and universities.
On the final day, conference panels will deal with small wind power systems, hybrids and storage, and assessment and prediction of wind resources. One panel will be given over to the topic of education while another will deal with project finance.
The event is the fruit of an agreement between Artenergy Publishing, leader in the organization of events dedicated to renewable energies and the organizer of Eolica Expo Mediterranean in Italy since 2002, and AAEE - Argentinean Wind Energy Association, which since 1996 has helped drive development of wind energy in the country.
